Melbourne, Victoria

Melbourne is the capital of the state of Victoria, Australia. It is the second largest and most-populous city, and the second smallest state in Australia.

Melbournian (Melbourne residents) comes from a very diverse cultural background, and is also home to resident born overseas, such as Europe (United Kingdom, Italy and Greece) and Asia (China, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and Hong Kong). The CBD itself is very unique, with many old heritage sites and buildings such as the Flinders Station mixed with modern skyscrapers like the Eureka Tower. However Melbourne does not have a proper look out area with a vantage view of the city and its skyscrapers, and the fact that the location of these buildings are split by the Yarra River means one has to go really far away from the city, to get a good full view of the city.

Adelaide Riverbank Promenade

The Adelaide Riverbank Promenade is located on the north of Adelide’s CBD, it is an integral part of the Adelaide Festival Centre, Skycity Casino, Hyatt Regency Hotel and Adelaide Convention Centre.

My friend and I met up after work for a few photos of the area and our purpose was to capture the dusk effect. This twilight period gives landscape photography the best lighting effects due to the warmness of the colour, but we had to be quick because they do not last long.
