Extreme Auto Expo 2011 (Photos)

The Extreme Auto Expo has been one of the biggest car show yet. Formally known as Extreme Horsepower Show, the newly branded Extreme Auto Expo is the Adelaide’s round of the Meguiar’s Super Stars, a National competition which attracts the best modified vehicles from all over Australia.

The Glen Jenning’s Batmobile was the star in this year’s show and is a technically correct replica of the 1966 built Batmobile for the 1966 TV series & autographed by Adam West (batman) and Lee Meriwether (catwoman). Body – built by Gotham Cruisers and is a first generation correct moulding and built on a 1976 Lincoln frame.

Apart from the show cars, the Zippel Cruise also rocked up to the show on Saturday afternoon with a total of over 400 cars! Only American muscle cars are on sight, which brought to the showground an American atmosphere like no other.

Visit Extreme Auto Expo for more information. Video will be coming soon.

Official 2011 Gazzanats Video

Posted on by edgarchieng in Events, Videography | Leave a comment

This is my official video of the 2011 Gazzanats event. The annual Gazzanats event is held at Adelaide International Raceway, and is open for all participants from around the country for the burnout event (which is the biggest part of the whole event). A big part of Gazzanat is played by Gary Myers, who is the Burnout Champion of the World, who holds multiple world records for Burnout competition.

The whole event is about revheads and people who are mad about cars, especially American and V8 muscle cars in general. I was able to get up close throughout the entire burnout events and this is a seriously dangerous motorsport, but a very entertaining one. This is the second year I have been to Gazzanats, and if I get the chance again in the future, I would definitely keep going every year.

This was shot on the Sony NX70, the slow-motion part was shot using the slow-motion mode with a 200 frames per second burst mode for 3-sec, however, after processing, the final length is approx. 12 sec at 25 frames per second. The video is edited in Final Cut Pro, graded with Magic Bullet Looks.
