Sydney is the most picturesque city in Australia. The iconic Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge are nicely complicated by the dense skyscrapers in the background to create a picture perfect frame for photographers. I was travelling to Sydney back and forth during that period for work purposes so I had plenty of opportunities to scout around different locations in the city for that view.

Canberra, ACT

I went to Canberra for a day to attend to a personal matter and decided to stay overnight before flying to Melbourne the following day. Due to the time constraint I was only able to take a few sunset shot from one location before night falls. It was extremely hot on that day, about 39 degrees and throughout the day the sky was covered in thick grey clouds which makes photographing a little challenging. Among the places I visited during … Read more

Largs Bay is located on the north-west of Adelaide and about 25 minutes drive by car. The Largs Bay was an international landing point during the sail times and the beautiful Largs Pier Hotel was used as a historical landmark. In the 1970s to the 1980s, the Largs Pier Hotel was a very popular pub-rock venue, and many prominent Australian rock banks used to play gigs there including AC/DC. Though those days are now gone, the Largs Pier still holds … Read more

Adelaide Riverbank Promenade

The Adelaide Riverbank Promenade is located on the north of Adelide’s CBD, it is an integral part of the Adelaide Festival Centre, Skycity Casino, Hyatt Regency Hotel and Adelaide Convention Centre. My friend and I met up after work for a few photos of the area and our purpose was to capture the dusk effect. This twilight period gives landscape photography the best lighting effects due to the warmness of the colour, but we had to be quick because they … Read more

Second Valley is a coastal town on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. It is about 2 hours south of Adelaide, and about 20 minutes from Rapid Bay. We planned an overnight stay and had the chance to drive around the coast. We also took this opportunity to go trekking at Deep Creek Conservation Park, and true to its name, it took us a good 2 hours to get to the creek where the waterfall is, and not forgetting the … Read more
